STORY
Robert L. Hymers, 38 yrs old, is the son of Dr. R. L. Hymers Jr., a movie producer, the founding editor of CSUN's tax development journal and an advisor for several Publicly Traded Companies.

Early life

Robert was born in North Hollywood, California and is the eldest son of Dr. R. L. Hymers, Jr. In 2006, Robert earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) as well as a Master of Science in Taxation (MST) degree in 2009. Robert graduated Summa Cum Laude in both his undergraduate and graduate programs and delivered the commencement speech at both ceremonies. He is the founding managing editor of CSUN’s Tax Development Journal.

Managing Partner of CPA Firm

Robert, with several years of both tax and auditing experience at Ernst & Young ("EY"), LLP, worked in the firm’s core assurance practice performing audits of public and private companies, specifically in the real estate industry. He was a member of EY's National Tax Group (FS0) for several years. At EY he provided tax services to REITS, private equity firms, hedge funds, film production companies and banks. He specializes in partnership taxation. In addition, he has a broad range of experience, including ASC 740 tax provision audits, REIT compliance, preparation of 1120, 1065, and 1120S returns, M&A tax advisory work, multi-state tax compliance and international tax consulting.

He is the founding Managing Editor of CSUN's The Tax Development Journal.

Robert is the managing partner of Pinnacle Tax Services, Inc. and specializes in providing tax and accounting services for a host of different industries.

CFO for Publicly Traded Companies

Robert L. Hymers, III has served as the CFO of several Publicly Traded Companies. He is one of the founders and was the CFO of Marijuana Company of America, Inc. (OTC: MCOA). The Company produces and sells legal hemp-based consumer products under the brand name “hempSMART™”, that targets general health and well-being and files with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He resigned as the CFO and Director on June 18, 2018.

Robert was the CFO of American Cannabis Company Inc. (OTC: AMMJ) and worked as the past Chief Financial Officer of Global Hemp Group Inc. (CSE:GHG) (OTC:GBHPF) (FRANKFURT:GHG). He was also the Chief Executive Officer and the President of Everlert, Inc. (OTC: EVLI).

He was appointed to the advisory board of Cannabis Strategic Ventures Inc. (OTC: NUGS) as well as Massroots (OTC: MSRT) and served as a consultant to Sugarmade Inc. (OTC: SGMD), both being some of the leading publicly traded companies in the cannabis sector, and was tasked with identifying and structuring strategic partnerships and assisting with SEC filings. Robert Hymers is also the co-founder of Cannabis Global Inc. (OTC: CBGL) and prior CFO of the company.
